Income tax exemption on PPF of Rs.70,000/-

I want to open an PPF a/c with SBI. I heard that the maximum income tax exemption for the said deposit will be Rs. 1 Lac. If I deposit Rs. 70,000/- in PPF, will I get the full income tax deduction ? Currently I am filing income tax return for Rs 85,000/- to the authorities ? Please advise.
