On joining an airhostess academy
by Jai on Jun 12, 2006 07:09 PM

Airhostess academies typically charge very high fees - one leading player is charging upto a lakh! I would suggest that you gather information from airline companies on what qualities they are looking for in their perspective airhostesses and then see whether u need such an extensive training or could do with something alternate, like maybe a course in grooming. Also, please realise that only 1 or 2 out of every 70 or 80 candidates that pass out from these academies actually go on to become air hostesses. The rest end up in hospitality businesses like hotels, travel agencies etc. So, unless u have that kind of money to take this gamble, it is surely worth a rethink. However, it is a very exciting career and lot of people do get in directly without such formal training.
