In my opinion its not worth joining an Airhostess academy, the airlines prefer someone who they can mould to their needs rather than pick up students from an academy who give half baked in-flight training, most importantly on emergency procedures. For example, the emergency training on a Boeing 737 is different from a Boeing 777, in fact the emergency procedures on the 732's are different from the 738's something that academies don't teach, airlines depending on their fleet choose to train accordingly. Instead attend a personal grooming session which will help more, airlines are looking for people with pleasing personalities to make the traveller come back for more business. Thats my $0.02 on this subject.
