Ms Sarah, you are absolutely write. Animals ARE after all just animals. Any comparison with them seeks to undermine the human existence, which is ridiculous to say the least. Lust weakens a person. Sex outside marriage, sex as a single and sex with spouse devoid of love are all nothing but cheap lust. The difference between a man and animal lies in the ability to have control over one's carnal desires or more importantly, ability to control one's mind. All great person in all the religions have stressed on controlling one's desires and lustful thoughts in order to gain internal and external strength. Control doesnt only mean simply refraining from performing a lustful physical acitivity but refraining from having lustful thoughts as well. Purer the person in mind, stronger and more confident she or he feels. Yes, its difficult to do so. But only the brave and them who have guts achieve it. Those who are weak, like your friend, succumb to lust and suffer.
