Hi, I completely share your views. I have a hypothesis.I am 37, Engineer, MBA from AUstrali & live in TOronto. My view is, yes, Humans are animals and sex is a basic instinct. But we had intelligence too. Thats why, we have signals on the roads for example. People dont like them, but they are necessary for a good functioning of the society. We have income taxes.... Again, the basic instinct is to, no pay taxes, but they are necessary for a intelligent society to run. So, is sex.... its a basic animal instinct in us. But if its not reined in, a social co habition of humans in a society is not possible. There will be chaos... So, like incomes taxes, street traffic signals, laws, education insitituions...... Marraige is also a human made insitutuion, which definately goes against the animal basic instinct, but is NECESSARY for a social existance and functioning of the society. I live in the west, and the sexual freedom, I feel, is the basic reason for almost 50% divorce rate here. I am not trying to be judgemental, in that, if one is ok with a society with 50% divorce rate, then sexual freedom is ok.. otherwise, not outside marriage.
