I comes from medical background and studied human biology from reproductive biology to psychology.Right now,I have been living in a western country for almost last 2 years.Well, I agree with your friend that we are animal but still we are not just animal but we are social animal (and not to forget animal with most advanced brain!).I completely agree with you that being a human sex is not just a physical act like other animals.For us,its more emotional and spiritual act which distiguish us from other animals.In western world the society is more open towards sex but how happy they are with it, only they can tell you!!!!!
