Interesting article. I am a 24/m from India currently living in Manchester UK. From my experiences till date I've seen some of my friends (girls) feel the same. But, I think pre-marital sex if mutually consenting is no big deal even if the couple is not in a relationship. Like your 'flamboyant' friend, there are many girls and guys who tend to have the same outlook towards the subject. I feel it's a very personal choice and shouldn't be forced upon someone. That's probably when the guilt trip sets in. If you feel the fun in the bedroom should only be post marriage so be it and respect your decision.
