I strongly believe one must have at least 3 - 4 yrs of work experience then opt for MBA. Major European & North American B-schools require substantial work experience. Only through that one can understand the work culture, complexities in handling the projects, importance of effective communication. Moreover MBA is not an exact science, here two plus two is not equal to four that one needs to understand. It a case study based learning process, hence an MBA class demends prof-student symbiotic relationship. Overall there is an underlying demend of certain level of maturity, business understanding (goal of the organization) & understand of handling work pressure. There may be exceptional student who deserve place in MBA class without work-exp. But those are exceptional cases. In a nutshell, to rip the maximum benefits of an MBA one need have at least 3 yrs of work experience.
