I work as the Program Director for the International College in Mahim, Mumbai - we do offer MBA programmes in affiliation with reputed UK Universities - from my experience must say that getting four or five years on the clock by way of work experience definitely makes sense. The takeaways in terms of value is far greater for the candidate who has the work ex before entering into the MBA. Most US/ UK Universities or at least the better ones insist on work exp - and as fresh bachelors graduates it would be next to impossible to get into a top tier business school.Although in India the custom is to complete all your educational endeavors at one go it definitely would be a viable option for candidates to work just after their Bachelors and then think of an MBA armed with the work exp, good references, contacts etc all of which are necessary for admissions at least to the good schools.
