MBA Or Work Exp
by Thomas Joseph on Jul 19, 2006 10:44 AM

Hi shalini, good to know that you have already decided to take up your MBA, now the only concern remains when to take it up.Iam presently employed in Dubai an am into the media industry.previously i was in Bangalore with one of the top HR recruitment and staffing solutions consulting firms.MBA,though its a three letter word it does add much weight to your CV as well. But what matters most is whether you have the ability to cope with the corporate culture. Now you are fresh out of college....though it would make more sense for you to join for ur MBA right away, what remains as a big question is whether its an MBA that you really want to do?Once you get exposed to the corporate culture you will be able to indentify yourself in a much better way. Moreover you will grow personaly and professionaly if you have some work Exp before you go for your MBA.Maturity is something that you will need once you do your P.G and the best way to attain it is by working with some good firms for atleast an year. When you start facing the corporate world you will be able to understnd what exactly you want professionaly, whether to be in mrktng,HR,Finance or systems. This will help u in ur MBA too.All the best.
