Is work ex preferred for MBA?
by Manik Taneja on Jul 21, 2006 05:43 PM

Hi everyone,
I was just going through some of the messages that have ben posted on this topic.I am an MBA(finance) from Symbiosis having passed out this year only and working in Mumbai now.I happened to do my PG immediately after passing out of engg. And our batch had a good mix of people with work experience and fresheres.I would say that having some amount of work experience would eb a plus but being a fresher isn't a complete disadvantage. Both the things have pluses and minuses. Being a fresher you tend to be much more interested in learning and pick up things quickly. If you are a fresher since everything is new to you you are much more interested in learning the ropes.I am saying this after seeing that some of the people who had work experience in our batch weren't flexible and would always stick to what they believed was right.
