I think work experience prior to MBA course would put you in a position to practically apply the concepts that you learn during MBA with your past work experience. However, what you actually learn during the course may not be directly related the field in which you have worked before. Hence, it all depends on how much time you want to invest in your education years. At the same time, all the premier B schools in the country and even those abroad, take students having minimum 2 yrs of work experience to their credit.
