The cause of anger is ourselves and not others!
by Archana on Jul 18, 2006 02:06 AM

Its strange but its the fact. I'm a serious victim of anger. I get angry or frustrated for the smallest things, I realized something needs to be done here because i cannot continue to hurt people around me, which makes me feel bad about myself.
Then i glanced through some self help books, but none address the problem accurately. And then in one book i read that We get angry or irritated when someone does something disrespectful to us, or we might feel some one does not care or love me, or someone does take you for granted, the reason is, lack of self respect and self love. when you have very less self respect, there is very less self love. so to fill this void we expecting others to respect us and love us, and when thats denied we get annoyed and angry.
so when you respect yourself, which will happen only if you do things that make you feel good about yourself, you will love yourself.. and when you enhance self respect and selflove, self esteem grows, and at that time you do not look to others to feed your respect and love. so at that time, you will not be annoyed or irritated with what others have to tell you!
