One thing I can assure you ... sun will rise in the east and Nature lovers are going to love their heart out ... I am from Pune but was brought up in Bangalore and had couple of friends from Coorg ...Having travelled hundreds of times between bangalore & mysore, I took this time to nap ...so that I could stay awake from mysore to Madikeri ... to feel the nature around. I & my friend Prasanna, got down at mysore, went to his sisters place in mysore and had lunch before begun our next journey. A half and hour drive from mysore, takes you in the lap of the nature..a jungle and we were lucky to wild elephants on the road couple of time ...!!! Dont envy me as yet, best is ahead. Crossing the typical Indian (Kannada) villages/towns of hunsur, periyapatna, Kushalnagar we reached Coorg at 4:00 PM.It was December of 1998, and it was cold at 4:00 PM in Madikeri !!! We had to reach Erappa's village further, near Baghmandala about 40 KMS in Madikeri.We took further KSRTC bus ( my trip was not planned one but deliberate adhoc trip to enjoy the aroma of coorg in its wild and original form).
