Coorg - The Scotland of India

For budget travellers, Coorg is 4 hours by bus from Mangalore and 2 hours from Mysore. There are buses to Madikeri every 15 mins or so.
There are also other spots like Gaddige, which looks like a cross between an Islaic style tomb and a Shiva temple.
One another spot is Nisargadhama, where one can go on an elephant ride.
Dubare is an elephant sanctuary, where if one goes in the morning, they display elephant training techniques.
