I think this statement is good only in such articles atleast in India. I haven't seen this in action anywhere in India. India's corporate is hierarchical. The Indian culture also teaches the same right from the younger days. If there are 2 people who could qualify for an promotion and one is 28 yrs old and the other is 35 yrs old, always and always only the 35 yr old person will be person who bags the promotion.
