This article is really good...I do follow all this for my 5 and half years old son Akshat.
My son is so happy to go to bed daily as he knows that I or my husband are ready to read new story daily for him. We do always buy new story books for him to develop his reading habit. An incidence of yesterday night...while reading a story we came across the word 'enchanted' and I asked him whats the meaning of this word and he immediately gave me the meaning with an example.
Keeping patience with children is an eternal & perpetual process, there cannot be any compromise with it. As the current family system in India....with only a single child or two children and both parents working the child needs a quality time of his parents and if we don't follow these unwritten rules of parenting, I feel we do not make justice to ourself and the children.... Children r the precious gift on this globe God has given us and we need to take care of it as they are our future.
