The BPO industry has created a new breed of indians, who speak english in western slang. Never had been the need to speak good english greater than it is today. BPO's not only require you to speak good english but develop a foreign accent-unnatural.

Thereby creating a army of english speakers- who know nothing but to speak engish with a american accent. I think undue amount of importance is given to your accent by BPO's. This effect has rippled in other industries as well. The day is not far when all the people in india would speak only english and have no knowledge whatsoever, about their native tongues.
