I have worldspace and this is my personal experience.
I am living in Europe and I thought it would be a good idea for me to buy worldspace as i can listen to indian channels. I brought worldspace damb-r receiver and subscription from worldspace coughing couple of hundred euros. According to worldspace, this receiver can be used in car and has a built in radio transmitter. all is true. but, performance is pathetic. i cant receive the signal when the car is moving and it is frustrating to use it in your car. It works perfectly when connected at home.
overall, channels are good though i could listen to only 3 indian hindi music channels from here. sun rise and east fm are good. but, i have serious reservation on jhankaar. though it is the only hindi music channel from India, the songs are rubbish. they play horrendous songs sungs by kumar sanu and his jhankaar beats party which makes me sick.. it literally takes me backs to early 90's. It could also be due to i am listening them when it is midnight in india and very few turn on radio at that hour.. anyways my vote is 50/50.. if you are living in india, its better off listening to local fm than worldspace.
