I think people who live abroad don't welcome newcomers from their country of origin, for various valid reasons. We can't blame them. Its their choice. Most people want to leave their past behind and move on. For instance, many people don't return to India due to restrictive and intrusive society they will be forced to live in. For those people, their own countrymen can be unpleasant reminders about their past. Also, there are numerous examples where innocent people have run into hassles while trying to help the people they don't know well. With all these reasons in mind, Indians who live in the US may ignore fresh arrivals from India.
