Yes. Work Experience is very important When you are applying for MBA in US. Most of the people come with tons of experience or they might be even doing MBA part time while working.

You may not get scholarship beforehand along with admission, but If you do have good IT experience, you should be able to find some kind of assistantship or on campus job which will get you tution fees waiver.

Make sure you make contacts with Indian students in the Univ you are applying for or admitted univ and find out first hand information of the assistantship scenario
