If a interviewer in the employer company can interview the person on what is written in the resume, all these fake resumes are exposed at that point. If the interviewer is BAD and cant interview, all these checks has to be done. So for the employers, do your homework properly - train the people who interviews and secondly make sure that the interviewers have the right knowledge to interview the candidate for the position. Anyways, background check needs to be done for credit and criminal records. But it is not required to see if the person has genuine knowledge or so.
