IIT's headed the wrong way
by Sribharath on Sep 22, 2005 01:58 PM

Why should the IIT system worry about the coaching class menace ? Let them put a strict fullstop to the bad habit of repeating at IIT's.I do have some classmates who are fit to be my uncles.I dont think its worth dropping two to three years of your precious life to get into IIT.Just to reduce the avergae age of IIT's and to bring down the coaching centre menace the JAB have taken a wrong decision by diluting the examination and its quality. Is it headed to become one more state level entrance examination? I would prefer the JAB take a step like making the JEE tough and having an interview like the one held for SAT in the USA.I am sure that the objective kind of examinations proposed to be conducted by IIT's are not well thought decisions.
