It is a retrograde step by encouraging mediocrity. Instead of making the syllabus of std X11 match that of IIT it has brought down the syllabus of IIT to X11. It is very unfair by reducing the no of attempts and increasing the percentage cut offs as this will really hit those poor students
It would be a prudent move to take back the change and restore it back to the orginal format and make schools equip them to the challenge of JEE IIT.
