IIT JEE Format
by Swapan Kumar Bag on Sep 15, 2005 02:01 PM

I myself being an IIT Alumni, strongly feel that the eligibility bar for an IIT Aspirant with minimum 60% marks in XIIth standard and maximum two attempts are not correct. IIT JEE Exam itself is considered one of the toughest competitive exam in India and as per the new format, many a meritorious IIT Aspirants who might not been able to fare better in XIIth Exam as well as in two max. attempts allowable for IIT JEE due to many unforseen reasons will be barred from their good aspiration of becoming aproud product of IIT, the best Engineering Institute of India as well as on the earth. Considering the standard of the IIT JEE Examination and unique selection criteria, these two eligibility criteria for an IIT JEE Aspirant should not be in place. I sincerely request the IIT JEE Authorities and Board Members of all the IITs to give a thought on my suggestion, since I strongly believe it may be helpful to some exceptionally odd talented IIT aspirant.
With my sincere regards,

Swapan Kumar Bag
