The fact about the use of case studies and class participation is surely a great way to make a manager application oriented, and not being restricted to bookish concepts as i found out while at IIM Lucknow. The concepts are important as they serve as building blocks and structure ones thoughts, but they can never replace the case methodology.
This also happens to be the only reason why the IIMs still reign supreme in the country and manage to attract the creme-de-la-creme.
