How accurate is this information?
by Mohan George on Jun 17, 2011 06:28 PM

I am a type 2 diabetic living in Canada, and the guidelines need to be brought up to date.
The latest guides would disagree with several sweeping statements made here (Try and stop the intake of red meat completely; Salt is the greatest culprit for diabetics).
While there are good suggestions regarding Cinnamon, fenugreek, garlic etc, the article does not carry a warning: One must consult a doctor, preferably an endocronologist, before commencing a regimen of these items. They may interfere with any medication one is already taking.
Portion control, 6 small meals a day works for me. I do eat amost everything that are no-nos to diabetics, and my HBA1C has been below 7.0 (120) for years.
