Education System in India
by Kalman Seth on Jun 14, 2005 08:36 PM

Every good thing is followed by some critisism. But Rashmi we don't have any other choice. Indian school systems is one of the best in world and really produces best barins. Our country is far behind others and we need to work hard to reach at their level.

You wrote 'One-size-fits-all education'. But there is an ongoing debate in Germany where we have different schools for students at different level. Its really not justifiable.

You wrote about the weight of books. Ya, locker can be a good option, but I dont find reducing book weight or eliminating homework a good option. Students here forget what they did in school once they are at home. Its like an obligation. And India's only ray of hope is educatio is hard and strict education.

A wise man once said, "The aim of education.".Dont care about such sayings. You will find thousands of them in your own Vedas which favours strict education.

You wrote "Preparing for what?". Preparing for bright future I would say. Preparing for tough compitition.Today everyone look at us with respect in forgein countries.Last few year have changed India. Thanks to our education system.

Our system gives rise to race, real compitition. Encourage it!
