The salaries given by your correspondent for university/colleges teacher are all incorrect.
At the starting level, a lecturer will earn Rs8000
as basic, which at DU will turn around Rs17-18,000
AT THE MINIMUM.
Similarly, A professor's basic salary is Rs16,400 which at DU will mean Rs33-34,000 AT THE MINIMUM.
