Way too rude
by Bhavesh on Apr 28, 2005 10:05 PM

That was such a rude review of a fairly well written book. Dan Brown is no Shakespeare and the book in consideration is classified as "popular fiction". So what we expect is not a literary classic but an action packed thriller which can be read on a train journey.
Personally, I feel that the book starts well, has great research and educates me a lot in art but as a novel it ends in a whimper, a kind of anti-climax so to say. However a Jeffery Archer fan would like to read it once.
Comparing it with other books on Holy Grail is very unfair; its like comparing apples and oranges.
The reviewer is basically frustated and isn't reviewing the book but airing her own philosophies about life and frustations about her favorite authors not being among the most famous ones in the world.
Its a mockery of a review, a really pathetic and ridiculous review.
Much better is expected from rediff.
