As somebody who has worked on a summer project of my choice and with a stipend, I would disagree with your advice to ignore the stipend. I would say that a stipend shows how seriously you are being taken by the company. Its imperative to make people understand that you are a professional and they should respect you for that. If summer internships are to be taken seriously by both the corporates and the students there must be a monetary incentive involved.Nobody is doing any charity by either giving a summer or doing it. There is no thing called free lunch, least of all in a corporate summer internship process that aims to be professional. Manmeet 9326035313
