I really dont understand why the industry which has been contributing to country's economy in a big way is so under rated and always disgraced.

By publishing these kind of stories or for that matter some bad incidents what does people want to prove.
I am working in this industry for last three years and have seen many more sucess stories than these kind of incidents. It all matters how you take your work, this kind of presure is there in every industry , in marketing there are targets to meet, in S/W development there are deadlines. Even doctors have to attend patients one after other still people like to highlight each and every small incident happened in the call center industry.

I do understand call center work force have to work in odd shifts but times re changing, almost all the industries are working in shifts so why always a hue and cry about call center. if any one of you( all the fake writers) ever work in a call center then you would probably realise what it takes to handle a human's query.
