RE:Engineering Education
by SREEKUMAR C. on Dec 11, 2004 10:56 AM

Hello,

Those days were over long back. Now inn Kerala almost 85( even the govt. dosen,t know the exact figure)engg colleges. More than that the intake of all the colleges had increased. Compared to the population of Kerala the number is on the upperside only. Now a days engg education in Kerala is a big business, thanks to the policies of the Antony government. Till 1990 only 5 engg. colleges were there, all Govt. controlled colleges. till 1996,12 colleges, directly all indirectly controlled b y the gov t. When the antony government was i power last time, the number of colleges had raised to 85 by giving noc to all priv ate self financing engg colleges controlled by caste based or religion based lob bies.. So Kerala has all the merits and c redits to include in the list.

KArnataka is not left out because the author has mentioned only four states, the fifth one is KARNATAKA.
