India's Engineers
by SANJEEV VYAS on Dec 09, 2004 04:03 PM

The article is really interesting and a cause of concern. Further, the evaluation system by different States for the Engg. stream vary. Even within the same State, different universities have totally different standards. A uniformity in this evaluation is required. For Eg.a hard working, bright student manages to get 65% in Engg. (after toiling very hard) from a Mumbai university, whereas an avg. student from some interior part of Mah.(say Sangli,Satara or Nagpur...) is able to easily score higher percentage with less hard work. This effects largely when admn.to foreign uni.is sought.
