RE:next world cup
by Bald Head on Jun 04, 2008 10:27 AM

Isn't it natural (or should one say unnatural) for ghosts not to know about humans?

Mark my words ghost, you will eat your words after the 2011 world cup. No less a person than god of Indian cricket has certified after the recent tour of Australia that the future of Indian cricket is in the safe hands of Dhoni and his team.

From now on, you won't see an obsession for personal records in Team India, you will see an ever increasing emphasis on the team winning or doing well under trying circumstances.

Gambhirs, Rainas, Rohit Sharmas, Yusuf Pathans, Dhonis, Yuvrajs do not at all think in terms of completing fifties or hundreds, they think always about scoring runs, converting good deliveries into bad ones to hit. When they field, there is spring in their shoes and when they bowl there is purpose and desire to take wickets.

If you are not entirely convinced by young Team India's winning T20 world cup, not even by their winning 2 ODIs out of 6 in India against Australia last year (and coming close to winning one or two more) and not even by their winning a triseries or tournament in Australia after a gap of 23 years, well, nothing extraordinary can satisfy you.
