So long as the Match Referee (Mr. Mike Proctor) and the Australians (players and CA officials0 feel that they are right in whatever they have done, I, for one, feel that the "Cool - Off" is just a farce and, therefore, an exercise in futility. What the sport needs, I feel, is good players (Gentlemen, real GENTLEMEN) and Umpires and referees with straight spines who would not be afraid to give unbiased decisions without
caring for the reputation of the teams/players and in the best interest of the game. The best way to assess the character/ability of umpires, perhaps, is to make them officiate when their nation is playing against another one. Since some of the so called neutral umpires have shown a tendancy to be partial, this system may be gradually abolished. Let us all pray that the game wins and it is played the way it is expected to be played by all concerned.
