RE:Indian Team and its board is overdoing this to cover up its losses
by Abed Jani on Jan 10, 2008 01:24 PM

Yes, very much possible. Aust did thrash India at MCG in the 1st test, but did u hear any protests? There were disappointment about India's performance, but there was no complain about either officials nor the Aust players. It may not be, but looks like in the 2nd test all are hell bent to give aust a win; field umpires, 3rd umpires. Most irritating part was as if Ponting is running the show, by giving out and ump is listening him without referring to the 3rd ump. I think what Aust players did is very common to them, and I am not exactly surprised. To me the umpires are the main cultprit. Not only they gave plenty of one-sided horrendous wrong decisions, they even looked too weak to handle the pressure and dictated by Aust players, Benson in particular. If correct decisions were taken it could be a comfortable draw and if luck favors could even go for India. So of course the disappointment of losing a golden opportunity is also added to the frustration.

If u like to agree or not this Sidney test win will be remembered for all the wrong reasons, excpet for those rabid Oz nationalist. At the same time I should also admit Indian public behaved over the top, which should also be stopped. Media is mainly to blame for this. Hope everyone involved got a lesson from this and the rest of the series will be played the way a cricket match should be played.
