Raj, we don't know the specifics of Sachin's testimony - and therein lies the rub, as they say.
With it, we're all in a position to (better) comment. As for your scenario, as odd as it is (because as a batsmen, I've never taken a drinks break without talking to my partner), I agree it could be difficult. But again, you'd have an appeal process and the usual avenues if players tried to conspire in such a fashion.
I think you'll also find a lot more cameras and microphones from now on which will lessen the chance of any such conspiracy theories!
