I am not an avid cricket follower. But I keep reading articles written by Prem and others. They are an excellent learning experience.
Let us look at two recent instances: 1. Greg Chappel raped the Indian team by his eccentricities. Inspite of that BCCI retained him as coach. Tendulkar going to press cornered him and he quit. BCCI still wanted him to continue. 2. The current incident. Umpiring issues were going on. Bhajji was suspended. It took Tendulkar to SMS and trigger what has happened.
Its only a matter of time where we will not have Tendulkar.
We seem to have forgotten one important aspect. What did BCCI do? BCCI is a satisfied and satiated Elephant, who can live without doing nothing for days, months and years. We dont know who will replace Tendulkars role, probably none.
Indian cricket is set for deterioration because BCCI will attract members according to its exceptional bank balance. The members first priority will be money and monetary implications.
If BCCI were listed on the stock exchanges I would recommend everyone to sell/short sell.
