Re: be fair

I see that this post - 'be fair' - misses the point that Prem is making. I am not defending Prem, I am sure that he is able to do that himself. Although I do agree with everything he says.

The fact the BCCI is standing up for one of its players is commendable as should every board stand behind its players. In this respect, I have only read a few lines about Cricket Australia supporting its Captain, never mind, its players. It's been busy trying to save the tour, which, if I take a cynical view, would be because of the financial loss it would suffer if India decided that it will stand up to what amounts to bully boy tactics and refuse to play any further part.

Just one other point, I would love to see what happens to Brad Hogg next week. I understand that the evidence is similar to Bhajji's, ie, evidence from players as opposed to independent corroboration or to put it simply, evidence from an independent source such as audio or video recording. Bhajji's charge was decided on a 'I said/he said' basis (which stinks of bias). I wonnder how Hogg's charge will be decided? On recent form, I'd say he will get off scot free.

Oh and one more thing, I agree that calling Symonds 'monkey' is unacceptable but I wonder if calling anyone else's parentage into question is?

You see, I for one think that sledging has no place in cricket. Honesty is central to appealing when you know its not out and walking when you know you are. You are either honest in both or not. Si
