Pots and Kettles
by Michael Mammen on Jan 09, 2008 04:31 PM

I posted this and it disappeared - will the same happen again?

Over the course of the last few days, many Indian supporters have said that the Australians are cheats, that Clarke wouldn't walk when he edged to slip, etc etc.

Many even said the Aussies cheat so much they wouldn't even walk when clean bowled! That's what makes this so funny. Go to you tube and search for Harbhajan Pietersen. What will you find you ask?

1) Pietersen is bowling gentle offies in an ODI
2) Harbhajan plays forward and is beaten
3) The ball smashes into off stump
4) Harbhajan stands there
5) The English celebrate
6) Harbhajan stands there
7) Pietersen says "don't you walk when you're bowled?"
8) Harbhajan eloquently says "f you"
9) Koertzen refers it to the 3rd umpire to resolve the apparent confusion
10) Every replay shows the ball hitting the middle of off stump, 2/3rds of the way up.

Now I make it clear again that I found the Australians' behaviour distasteful - without class, grace or any form of decency. But isn't it amusing to think about the delicious irony?

ALso, has anyone heard the latest one - apparently lipreaders speaking Hindi have deciphered Ishant screaming "the worst word you can use in the language" at Bucknor after he didn't give Symonds out.

Yes, the Australians behaved without class but I can't help but be amused at these revelations! One of my first comments on this forum was that people shouldn't throw stones in glasshouses.

Ironic I think?
