Excellent Mr.Panicker! There is no doubt that India was cheated out of a draw, if not a win, in the Sydney Test. It is not only the Umpires, even the Australian players contributed to it by their so called `hard' play. Ponting says Australians play `hard and fair'. After seeing the Sydney Test, one certainly can say that they play hard, but certainly not `fair'. They are quoting a couple of LBW decisions against Laxman and Tendulkar to equate with the wrong decisions suffered by India. Let us make one thing clear. All teams in international cricket suffer because of LBW decisions. The decisions, for or against, are more often than not based on conjecture and even the hawk eye is not fool proof. Hence, let us leave all the LBW decisions out of the picture - including the crucial one given against RP Singh when India was fighting to save the match. Even hawk eye showed that this delivery would only have hit the top of the bail and the benefit of doubt should certainly have gone to RP Singh. But, as I said, leave LBW out of the picture. Let us only concentrate on the catches and the stumpings which are more straight forward and can easily be adjuticated in replays. Here, only India suffered and lost the match. The umpires were totally wrong in most of these decisions, Australians were very bad sportsmen and India lost. Ponting should be sakced as Australian captain for his unsportsman like behaviour not only now, but even in the past!
