Cricket is a commodity in India. It sells and it sells big.Though there is some truth in the article,you can't turn their thinking. The people enjoying the victory doesn't all know this,they forget their own responsibilities and watch and enjoy cricket. One time hockey was craze as long as we were winning it was enjoyed by people. Cricket and Hockey were equally enjoyed and both were poor at that time money wise. But cricket grew and earned money for itself. The MNC's could visiualize and made it (Cricket) a commodity which could be sold and that too big time sale.
