bad article and worse reactions
by Ayan Roy on Sep 26, 2007 02:50 PM

The article itself makes no sense and tries to make a mountain out of a mole-hill. Why should chief ministers always have to announce big cash awards for winning CRICKETERS? What about other sports? And what are they doing for the real development of the states?
Irfan Pathan has done a great job for India, and he does not need to be felicitated by Modi or anybody for that. He will get enough from brand endorsements.
But, at the same time, it is scary and painful to see such vicious, emotional reactions from our 'educated and intelligent' readers, coupled with blind adulation for Modi. They ignore the fact that Modi IS BLATANTLY ANTI_MUSLIM and HAS organized the massacre of innocent muslims in his own state. He IS GUILTY AND HAS BLOOD ON HIS HANDS, and his crime is AT PAR with the barbaric and destructive Islamic terrorists. If Modi becomes a role model for people, then I fear for the future and peace of the Indian state.
