Modi may have an agenda. But is there any rule that these gifts need to be given. Let atleast one guy be sane not to shower any largesse on these cricketers. On the one hand we go over the top and spoil them and on the other when they lose we go nuts and deride them.
For the record Dinesh Karthik (its a different matter he did not play the finals) has not been given anything by the TN CM.
