Time of Selection

We have seen in many occassions the Team selection for any ongoing tour is annonced while other matches are going on (be it 20-20 or Test).

Now tell me will Shewag play freely in the next 2 matches?

Announcing the team takes just few minutes. Why can't they wait till the tournament is finished ?
