RE:While I'm here...
by True Indian on Oct 18, 2007 02:37 PM

Chris, let me explain to u the our nature and the way we eat/drink cricket. Cricket is more than a sport to us. Its more like a religion. We either love our team when they win (remember the T20 world cup win celebrations) or hate them when they lose (the last world cup lose in WI).
Indians are too extreme for u guys to understand. For you guys sports is only a matter of enjoyment, have a beer and njoi the game. For us it is attached to ur life, its a way of distraction frm ur routine life. Its is said that u hate someone only when u love them. Though going overboard in the criticism like burning houses and rioting after we loose doesnt click for me, but thats what happens when u have a large following of the game. Not like in Aus where the fans are distributed between cricket and other sports like aus rugby and football.
