now that sachin's pulled out of the race, obly 3 options are left with the BIG men of selections. the obvious and apparent choice would be dhoni. as much as one despised the antics of former coach chappel during his tenure, one cannot but ignore the harsh reality behind his view on dhoni becoming skipper.it would be like a heavy load over his head at the time when not only is he at the helm in the other two editions but still making a mark in international cricket(by having say someone like gilly as a benchmark,he's still got eons to go) anil kumble and vvs laxman are soild pillars of the indian test setup but both lack the experience and shrewdity that need to come with the job. without a doubt they are exceptional cricketers and extremely dignified gentleman but those characteristics haven't really helped indian cricket over the years(ala dravid) which leaves us with just one option.there need not be any explanations given for this one. he's got a couple of years of good solid cricket left in him. his commitment is unquestionable and he brings a dimension to captaincy which has "killer instinct" writen all over it. he may be a disaster at running between the wickets and a comical diver, but when it comes to leading the side, simply put...HE'S THE MAN. dada..please come back would you??
