Best option is Dhoni without Keeping.Kaarthik anyways is sure in the Opener's slot along with Jaffer.Kaarthik can Keep as well.Though it might put pressure on Karthik as Opening an innings is the Toughest job, specially on Aus and New Zealand / South African pitches, seems the sensible option. Second option is Laxman as his is also a sure selection as a Test Batsman, he is respected by Team mates and is only 32 years and has lead Hyderabad as well. The options are limited.Dravid / Tendulkar dont want Captaincy because Dravid knows there is too much Mumbai politics involved, Tendulkar anyway was a BIG failure the first time he was Captain and if Ganguly is Captain there will be a lot of Politics between players, with only Ganguly's favourites being given importance. Kumble is too old and too soft. Yuvraj is not even sure of a place in the Test XI.
