the australian coach
by gurpreet johar on Mar 30, 2007 06:42 PM

I thnk that australians arrogant and chappel is no different. He did more to the team than neone else.
ganguly is not a better player than other members of the team but he did raise his game to come back in the team india.
he has leadership skills much much better than dravid.
combine that with inability of an australian to understand the indian side, we indians play by instinct thats our strength. I think that it was more like office job with targets under chapel. Dravid was his chamcha. Performance of tendulkar was not much better than ganguly but BCCI found it easier to get rid of him because lot of presure from public and sponsors.
Ganguly's performance was average but the team's performance below average, and BCCI & Chapel are worst part of the whole story. BCCI more than anyone else because they shouldnt have choosen an australian, if you want to improve fielding than you do so at ranji tropy by appointing some low profile assistant coaches but its not a good experiment at international level.
I think BCCI needs a reform
